Pineapple Tea

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe pineapple
  • water
  • 1 tsp honey, optional

Instructions
 

  • Remove skin from pineapple.
  • Place skin and core into a large sauce pan.
  • Add enough water to completely cover skins and core.
  • Cover pan and bring to a boil over medium high heat.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow tea to come to room temperature.
  • Strain tea, discard skins and core.
  • Refrigerate tea, covered.
  • Serve tea chilled over ice.
  • Add a teaspoon of honey for added sweetness, optional.
  • Enjoy!
