Asiago Cheese Garlic Bread

Move over garlic bread. The addition of Asiago cheese to this loaf makes it one of the tastiest sides to serve with all your favorite pasta meals, soups and salads.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf French bread, cut in half horizontally
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 4 oz Asiago cheese, finely grated

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • Slice a loaf of French bread in half, lengthwise.
  • Melt butter and combine with minced garlic cloves and garlic powder.
  • Brush garlic butter mixture onto both halves of the French bread loaf.
  • In a small bowl combine mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, dried parsley flakes and Asiago cheese.
  • Stir until you have a thick paste. Add more mayonnaise if needed.
  • Spread mayo/cheese paste mixture onto buttered French bread halves in an even layer.
  • Bake for 15 minutes in preheated oven.
  • Switch oven temperature to "broil" and toast until golden brown along the edges of the bread.
  • Remove bread from the oven and slice with a sharp knife. Serve while still warm.
