BBQ Country Style Spareribs

You can have tender, flavorful spareribs without ever firing up the barbecue or a smoker. This easy to do method produces the most tender, moist spareribs with a minimum of effort!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs country style pork spareribs
  • 2 tbsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • water
  • 6 oz barbecue sauce

Instructions
 

  • Place spareribs in a large pot and cover them with water.
  • Stir in salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • Cover pot with a lid and bring water to a boil.
  • Once water comes to a boil, simmer spareribs for 45 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • Remove ribs from the pot of water using tongs and transfer them to an oven safe baking dish.
  • Pour BBQ sauce over the ribs, turning them with the tongs to coat them with the BBQ sauce.
  • Cover dish with foil and bake spareribs for 1 to 1½ hours until heated through and they reach a temperature of 160°F.
  • Coat with additional sauce if desired.
  • Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

Recipe can easily be doubled or tripled to feed a crowd.
