Best Ever Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Equipment

  • 1½ qt. Oven safe casserole dish.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup butter, 1 stick
  • 1 can fruit, peaches, berries, pears
  • cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Slice butter and place in casserole dish.
  • Place casserole dish in the oven for several minutes, until butter is completely melted. Remove from oven.
  • Drain fruit.
  • Add fruit to melted butter in casserole dish and stir to combine.
  • In a mixing bowl stir together dry ingredients, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Add milk and vanilla to the dry ingredients and stir to combine.
  • Pour batter over butter/fruit mixture in casserole dish and spread out evenly.
  • Once oven reaches 350°, bake cobbler for 40-50 minutes or until crust turns golden brown and toothpick comes out clean. Don't overtake.
  • Best served warm with ice cream.
