For sausage gravy:
- 12 oz pork breakfast sausage
- 3-4 tbsp flour
- ½-¾ cup milk
- Freshly ground pepper
Prepare your favorite biscuits and get them in the oven.
Prepare sausage gravy while biscuits are baking in the oven.
Place pork sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Use a spatula to break up meat as it browns.
Once the sausage is cook through, sprinkle flour as evenly as possible over the pork in the skillet.
Add milk and stir together with the cooked sausage and flour. If mixture is too thick, add addtional milk.
Lower heat and cook until milk is heated through and gravy thickens to desired consistency.
Ladle gravy over freshly baked biscuits.
Serve with a side of scrambled eggs to round out the meal.
