Cheese Burger Mac & Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • cups water
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 8 oz processed American cheese, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off excess fat.
  • Add water, ketchup, and onion powder to the skillet and bring mixture to a boil, stirring to combine ingredients.
  • Once mixture comes to a boil, add macaroni to the skillet.
  • Stir to combine. Cover and simmer over medium heat until macaroni is cooked, about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once pasta is cooked, stir in cubed American cheese and stir until cheese melts.
  • Top with an even layer of shredded cheddar cheese. Cover pan and turn off heat.
  • Once cheddar cheese has melted, top with sliced green onions to serve.
