Cheese Burger Mac & Cheese

- 1 lb ground beef
- 2¾ cups water
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 8 oz processed American cheese, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 stalks green onions, sliced
In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off excess fat.
Add water, ketchup, and onion powder to the skillet and bring mixture to a boil, stirring to combine ingredients.
Once mixture comes to a boil, add macaroni to the skillet.
Stir to combine. Cover and simmer over medium heat until macaroni is cooked, about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once pasta is cooked, stir in cubed American cheese and stir until cheese melts.
Top with an even layer of shredded cheddar cheese. Cover pan and turn off heat.
Once cheddar cheese has melted, top with sliced green onions to serve.
