- 1 lb ground beef
- 28 oz baked beans
- ½ lb bacon
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tube refrigerated jumbo size flakey biscuits
- sliced green onion, for garnish
Preheat oven to 350℉.
Cut bacon into ½ inch pieces and cook in a large oven safe skillet over medium heat until browned. Remove bacon, set aside.
Add onion and ground beef to the skillet. Brown ground beef in the skillet breaking it up with a wooden spatula until cooked through and onion is soft.
Drain off excess fat.
Stir in baked beans, barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika and brown sugar.
Bring mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and top with biscuits.
Place skillet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until biscuits are cooked through and golden brown.
To serve garnish each serving with sliced green onions if desired.
