Ingredients

cream cheese,
softened
2
cups
cooked chicken breast,
shredded & diced
1
can
diced green chilis
1
tbsp
Jalapeño pepper,
diced
⅛
cup
seasoned bread crumbs
½
tsp
salt
2
cloves
garlic,
minced
16

pkg. Wonton wrappers
vegetable oil,
for frying
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, chicken, peppers, bread crumbs, salt and garlic. Mix thoroughly.
Place a teaspoon of the chicken filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
Moisten edges of each wrapper with water and fold in half, forming a triangle.
Press edges together to seal and then fold two points toward the center forming an envelope shape.
In a wok or deep fryer, heat oil over high heat to 350°.
Fry wontons in oil, a few at a time, until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
Drain fried wontons on paper towel lined platter.
Serve warm with hot mustard, or sweet & spicy chili sauce or a wonton dipping sauce.
Notes
Shredded pork can be substituted for the chicken meat.
