Easy Creamed Corn

  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 whisk

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 10 oz package frozen corn kernels
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ tsp salt, or to taste
  • ¼ tsp pepper, or to taste
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup milk

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add flour and whisk together.
  • Cook to remove raw flour taste, about 2 minutes, whisking constantly.
  • Add corn, heavy cream, sugar, and salt and pepper. Stir together until heated through.
  • Add milk and cook until mixture thickens and everything is heated through.
  • Remove from heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
