In a shallow bowl whisk together egg, milk, cinnamon and vanilla powder until thoroughly combined.
Dip bread slices in egg batter. Flip over slices allowing bread to soak up the egg batter.
Melt butter in a heavy bottom skillet over low heat.
Fry battered bread slices until crisp and golden brown on the outside and the egg batter has cooked through completely. Flip bread slices to cook both sides.Serve with real maple syrup and fresh fruit such as Raspberries or Strawberries.
