Green Chile Cheese Soufflé

An easy to make soufflé that's delicious for breakfast or brunch. This delectable dish feeds a crowd with a minimum of effort.

Equipment

  • 13x9 inch oven safe casserole dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 lb cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 7 oz can of fire roasted diced green chiles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • Cut butter into slices and place them in the bottom of a 13x9 inch casserole dish.
  • Place in the oven as it preheats until butter is melted.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine, Bisquick, milk, and eggs.
  • Stir until lumps are mostly gone.
  • Add can of diced green chiles to the batter. Stir to combine.
  • Remove casserole dish from the oven once the butter is melted.
  • Place half the cheddar cheese in the casserole dish on top of the melted butter.
  • Pour egg batter over the cheese in the casserole dish.
  • Top with an even layer of cheese using remaining half of cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes until center is cooked through and puffed and the edges are light golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
