- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ onion, diced
- ½ green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 11½ oz can tomato juice
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 8 oz water
- 8 oz uncooked macaroni pasta
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
In a large skillet cook ground beef, onion and bell pepper over medium heat until meat is cooked through and onions and peppers are soft.
Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Drain off excess fat.
Add tomato juice, tomato sauce, water, macaroni noodles, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
Stir to combine and bring mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until macaroni noodles are tender. Stir occasionally.
Turn off heat. Top with cheddar cheese. Cover and allow to sit for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted.
