Cuisine American
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 3 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 10 large flour tortillas
- 160 slices salami
- 20 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
- green leaf lettuce, torn into small pieces
Make the cream cheese filling:
Place softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, dried dill, chives, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.
Whisk all the ingredients together until combined and mixture is smooth and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
Assemble roll-ups:
Using a sharp knife cut off about an inch of the tortilla on two sides so you have two straight edges.
Spread a thin layer of the herbed cream cheese mixture onto the tortilla.
Cut the tortilla in half, and then in half again so you end up with four equal sized strips.
Place 4 salami slices along one edge of the tortilla strip, overlapping each slice of salami.
Roll the tortilla with the salami slices into a tight roll. The salami slices will form a pretty rosette on top of each roll.
Pierce a tomato half with a toothpick
Place a piece of lettuce onto the side of the roll and use the toothpick with the tomato half to secure the roll.
Continue making roll-ups until you have used up all the herbed cream cheese, tortillas, tomato halves and sliced salami.
Cover rolls loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for two hours to allow the flavors of the cream cheese to develop and firm up.
To serve, stand each roll upright on a platter. Serve chilled.
