Morton's Million Dollar Burgers

Moist, delicious burgers using only a handful of ingredients. These burgers are worth their weight in gold!

Equipment

  • Barbecue grill

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp tomato juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 3 slices American cheese
  • 3 slices Provolone cheese
  • hamburger buns
  • lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • mustard & ketchup

Instructions
 

  • Preheat barbecue grill to medium high heat.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, tomato juice, salt and pepper.
  • Form beef mixture into 3 equal sized patties pressing an indentation into the center of each patty with your thumbs.
  • Grill patties for 6 to 7 minutes per side.
  • To keep burgers moist and juicy, resist the urge to press down on the patties with the back of your spatula as they cook.
  • Top each beef patty with a slice of American cheese and a slice of Provolone cheese.
  • Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until cheese melts.
  • Place grilled beef patties on toasted hamburger buns.
  • Top each burger with your favorite condiments to serve.
