Morton's Million Dollar Burgers

Moist, delicious burgers using only a handful of ingredients. These burgers are worth their weight in gold!

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 3 tbsp tomato juice
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 3 slices American cheese
- 3 slices Provolone cheese
- hamburger buns
- lettuce leaves
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced
- mustard & ketchup
Preheat barbecue grill to medium high heat.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, tomato juice, salt and pepper.
Form beef mixture into 3 equal sized patties pressing an indentation into the center of each patty with your thumbs.
Grill patties for 6 to 7 minutes per side.
To keep burgers moist and juicy, resist the urge to press down on the patties with the back of your spatula as they cook.
Top each beef patty with a slice of American cheese and a slice of Provolone cheese.
Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until cheese melts.
Place grilled beef patties on toasted hamburger buns.
Top each burger with your favorite condiments to serve.
