- 4 lb beef brisket, trim off excess fat leaving about a ¼ an inch
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp Kosher salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp cumin
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce
Preheat oven to 300℉.
Mix all the spices together in a small bowl; paprika, salt, pepper, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and cumin.
Rub spice mixture onto the surface of the brisket to cover it completely with the spice rub.
Place seasoned brisket (fat side up) in an oven safe baking dish.
Stir together the Worcestershire sauce and BBQ sauce and spread it over the seasoned brisket.
Cover pan tightly with foil. Bake for 2 hours. Remove from oven and flip brisket over. Cover pan tightly with foil and return to the oven.
Bake for another 2 hours, or until beef is tender and slices easily.
Remove brisket from the oven and allow it to rest on a cutting board for 10 minutes before slicing it.
Cut brisket against the grain into slices and serve it with the juices from the pan.
