Oven Roasted Barbecue Beef Brisket

It's oh so easy to oven roast a tender, juicy, beef brisket that's loaded with delicious barbecue goodness. Your'e gonna love this!

Equipment

  • oven safe baking dish large enough to hold the beef brisket

Ingredients
  

  • 4 lb beef brisket, trim off excess fat leaving about a ¼ an inch
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 300℉.
  • Mix all the spices together in a small bowl; paprika, salt, pepper, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and cumin.
  • Rub spice mixture onto the surface of the brisket to cover it completely with the spice rub.
  • Place seasoned brisket (fat side up) in an oven safe baking dish.
  • Stir together the Worcestershire sauce and BBQ sauce and spread it over the seasoned brisket.
  • Cover pan tightly with foil. Bake for 2 hours. Remove from oven and flip brisket over. Cover pan tightly with foil and return to the oven.
  • Bake for another 2 hours, or until beef is tender and slices easily.
  • Remove brisket from the oven and allow it to rest on a cutting board for 10 minutes before slicing it.
  • Cut brisket against the grain into slices and serve it with the juices from the pan.
