Preheat oven to 350℉.
Generously grease and flour loaf pan and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas.
Add the melted butter, beaten egg, and sugar. Stir to combine.
Add baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir to combine.
Add flour to the bowl and stir to combine.
Stir in pecans (reserving about a ¼ cup for topping).
Add chocolate chips, and stir to combine.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
Top with reserved chopped pecans.
Bake loaf for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the loaf comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and cool in the loaf pan for 15 minutes.
Remove loaf from pan and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
