The Best Ground Beef Taco Meat

Adding a packet of guacamole seasoning mix to the beef as it cooks adds a punch of flavor that will have you coming back for seconds.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning mix
  • 1 envelope guacamole seasoning mix, either mild or spicy
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • Start by browning ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking the meat into small crumbles as it cooks.
  • Once the beef is browned and cooked through, drain off any excess grease.
  • Add taco seasoning mix, the envelope of guacamole seasoning, salt and pepper to the beef in the skillet.
  • Pour in water and stir to combine.
  • Bring mixture to a low simmer and cook, stirring often, until the water has cooked off.
  • Serve cooked seasoned ground beef in all your favorite Mexican dishes; tacos, enchiladas, nachos, burritos, taco salad.

Notes

NOTE:  Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.  Place cooked beef in a large ziplock bag and squeeze out any excess air.  Pop it in the freezer for longer storage.
