The Best Homemade Pizza Sauce

A handful of basic ingredients combine to make the best pizza sauce ever.

- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp sugar
Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a blender.
Pulse until all the ingredients are well combined and you have a smooth paste.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
Store leftover sauce:
Spoon any extra sauce in into ice cube trays and freeze.
Once sauce is frozen, transfer frozen cubes of sauce into ziplock bags and store in the freezer for up to 4 months.
A large pizza will use about 5-6 cubes of sauce, depending on how saucy you like it.
Defrost frozen sauce in the microwave or drop the entire ziplock baggie into a sink full of warm water to thaw in just a few minutes.
