Fresh Herb Cheese Spread

Have you experienced sticker shock when purchasing Boursin cheese at the market? Goodness, golly gracious, is the stuff laced with gold bouillon? There’s absolutely no reason for it to be so darn expensive. But it is having a moment and it’s in more recipes than I can shake a stick at. What if I told you that you can make it at home at a fraction of the cost. The challenge? It also has to be easy to make and taste just as good, if not better. Plus when you make it at home you know it doesn’t contain any preservatives or unpronounceable chemical additives. That’s a win, win, win in my book!

How To Make A Better Than Boursin Herb Cheese Spread

Start by placing softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, dried dill, chives, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.

When I don’t have fresh dill on hand, I use this Lighthouse Freeze Dried Dill in place of the fresh dill. It tastes just like fresh dill in your recipes, you need less than when using fresh and it will keep for ages, so no last minute trip to the store to pick up fresh dill required.

Whisk all the ingredients together until combined and the mixture is smooth and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours for flavors to fully develop.

Serve with your favorite crackers or fresh veggie dippers; bell pepper strips, broccoli, carrots, celery, or sugar snap peas.

Oh my goodness, this cheese spread is oh so much tastier than the store bought kind! It takes just minutes to whip it up and costs just a fraction of the overpriced cheese spread at the store. This is one of my favorite recipes on the website. I urge you to give it a try. It’s delicious!!!
