How To Make A Hot Baked Game Day Dip

Every so often I run across a recipe that surprises me with how good it is, and this is a knock your socks off delicious one! Even if you’re not a fan of Swiss cheese, just trust me on this, you are going to love this dip! It couldn’t be easier to make and every time I’ve served it up, it’s always the first thing to disappear! It’s that good. I was skeptical the first time I made it, but because it was so stinking easy to make I decided to toss a block of Swiss cheese in my shopping cart and give it a try. I had plenty of other appetizers on the menu so if this one bombed, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. Boy oh boy am I glad I decided to give this a one a try! It’s freaking awesome!

Start by preheating the oven to 350℉.

Place shredded Swiss cheese, diced onion, mayonnaise, salt and pepper in a large bowl. For the best melty results be sure to shred your own cheese, don’t use the pre-shredded kind. It won’t melt as well and the dip won’t turn out as good. The melty factor is important with this dip.

Mix everything together until well combined.

Spread the cheese mixture out into an oven safe casserole dish.

Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Dip is done when the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are a lovely golden brown.

Serve hot with soft pretzel bites. Other delicious dippers are potato chips, corn chips or your favorite crackers for scooping up all the cheesy goodness.

I was skeptical that a five ingredient dip would turn out to be as delicious as this one was. This was the first dip to disappear at Christmas. It was everyone’s favorite by far! By popular demand, I will be serving this up at our Super Bowl party too! Even if you’re not a fan of Swiss cheese, trust me on this, you are going to love this dip!
