If you cringe at the thought of being the chip and dip girl at the next get together, you can kiss those insecurities goodbye. Not only is this one of the easiest dips to whip up, but it’s also one of the tastiest you will ever dip a chip into. I can guarantee you won’t be coming home with any leftovers and everyone will be requesting the recipe! This dip came into existence from a miscommunicated list of recipe ingredients and has fast become a family favorite! Be sure to give this one a try, you are going to love it!
Jump to RecipeThis recipe calls for the addition of Beau Monde seasoning. Beau Monde can be hard to find at the market. It was quite common in the 60’s and 70’s but has since fallen out of favor over the years. It’s easy to make your own by combining four common ingredients you probably have on hand if you have a fairly well stocked spice rack.
Just combine 1 tablespoon celery seed, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon sugar.
Store it in an airtight container with all your other spices.
In a mixing bowl stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, minced onion, dill, and Beau Monde seasoning.
Transfer dip to an airtight container and refrigerate over night.
Serve chilled with potato chips or your favorite veggie dippers.
This dip just gets better and better the longer it hangs out in the fridge! It reaches peak flavor-fulness on day three, if you can wait that long to indulge! It’s a nice change from a Ranch dip and packs loads of flavor! You won’t feel any shame showing up to your next get together with a bag of chips and a bowl of this flavor packed dip. Everyone that tries it will be hanging out at the chip bowl shoveling this dip into their faces.
