Short on time? Are the kids asking you what’s for dinner? Are you just plain pooped out after a long, crazy, busy day with zero energy left to cook an elaborate meal for the family? Skip the drive thru with its chemical laden, overpriced, greasy burgers and give this oven baked burger method a try! No greasy stove to clean up after frying the patties. No need to even fire up the grill. No waiting in the long line at the drive thru either. Just preheat the oven and pop those frozen beef patties in there. They cook up juicy and delicious every single time. Once you try this method and see how ridiculously easy it is, and how juicy and flavorful these burgers are, you may never go back to cooking burgers any other way again.

How to make oven baked burgers using frozen hamburger patties:
Start by preheating your oven to 425℉.
TIP: If you’re making bacon cheeseburgers, lay out bacon strips flat on a foil lined baking sheet and pop it in the oven to cook right alongside the beef patties.
Line a baking sheet with foil. Place an oven safe baking rack on top of the baking sheet.

These Baking and Cooling Racks are perfect for cooking up those frozen beef patties. Placing them on a baking rack while they cook allows the air to circulate around each patty and allows any excess fat drip off the patties and into the foil lined pan below.

These are the beef patties I use.

Season patties with your favorite burger seasonings. You can never go wrong with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Remove paper backing and place seasoned beef patties on the baking rack.

MAKE IT A MEAL: Cook frozen tater tots in the oven alongside the beef patties. They cook at the same temperature and take the same amount of time to cook in the oven as the beef patties.
Bake patties for 10 minutes.
Prep all your burger fixings while the beef patties are cooking in the oven.

Remove patties from the oven, and flip them over with a spatula. Flip those tater tots too if you’re cooking them with your patties. Season patties with more burger seasoning. Return them to the oven and cook patties for another 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and top each patty with a slice of cheese. Cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Serve patties on toasted hamburger buns with your favorite burger toppings; lettuce, tomato, red onion, bacon strips, avocado, mustard and ketchup. My boys skip the mustard and ketchup and like to add Ranch dressing and A-1 sauce to their burgers. YUM!
