Caprese Salad

Fresh, simple ingredients come together in this simple to make salad that captures the best flavors of summer in your bowl.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 4 oz fresh Mozzarella cheese balls
  • 1 tbsp basil leaves, chiffonade
  • 2-3 tbsp good quality extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • freshly cracked pepper
  • salt, to taste
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash, cut tomatoes in half, and place them in a mixing bowl.
  • Add Mozzarella balls.
  • Chiffonade basil and add to the mixing bowl.
  • Add Balsamic vinegar to the bowl.
  • Drizzle with olive oil.
  • Add freshly cracked pepper and salt to taste.
  • Toss to combine.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
