Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks

Using refrigerated pizza dough makes these breadsticks a snap to prepare.

Ingredients
  

  • 13-16 oz refrigerated pizza crust
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Roll out pizza dough onto a cookie sheet.
  • Melt butter and stir in minced garlic to combine.
  • Brush pizza dough with melted butter/garlic mixture.
  • Sprinkle salt & pepper, dried basil onto dough.
  • Cover dough with an even layer of Mozzarella cheese.
  • Sprinkle top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into long thin strips but do not pull apart or separate the strips.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until breadsticks are starting to brown.
  • Set oven temperature to broil and toast until cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Keep a close eye on it so it doesn't burn.
  • Remove from oven and use a knife or pizza cutter to recut the strips and separate breadsticks.
