Cinnamon French Toast

This French toast has a cinnamon flavor profile that is off the charts delicious! It's quick and easy to make so you can whip it up even on a busy weekday morning!

- 1 loaf thick sliced Brioche bread, 12 slices
- 3 eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- pinch nutmeg, freshly grated
- Maple syrup, warmed
Place eggs, milk, and vanilla in a large flat bottom bowl. Beat together until combined.
In another flat bottom bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar.
Add freshly grated nutmeg and stir to combine. Set aside.
Place a skillet over medium heat. Add a tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt.
Dip each slice of bread in the egg/milk mixture to coat both sides. Work quickly, avoid letting the slices of bread to sit in the egg mixture. Just dip them quickly to coat the outsides.
Fry in the skillet until golden brown. Flip and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Remove bread from the skillet and place it in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Spoon the cinnamon mixture onto the cooked French toast slices, coating them generously.
Serve with warm maple syrup and crisp bacon strips to round out the meal.
