Fancy Focaccia Bread

Turn ordinary pizza dough into a fancy flat bread to grace your holiday table.

Equipment

  • Parchment paper

Ingredients
  

  • 1 refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp garlic butter, melted
  • grape or cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • green onions or chives
  • small red, yellow, and orange bell peppers thinly sliced
  • thin asparagus spears
  • small red onion or shallot, thinly sliced
  • parsley

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Line a cookie sheet with a piece of parchment paper.
  • Roll out pizza dough onto parchment paper. Use your fingers to spread out the dough towards the edges of the cookie sheet.
  • Pre-bake dough for 8 minutes in preheated oven.
  • Remove dough from the oven and brush with melted garlic butter.
  • Arrange vegetables onto the dough to create a "veggie" scape.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-20 minutes until the edges of the crust are golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and cut into squares to serve.
