Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 10 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, mind
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Cut bacon into ½ inch pieces.
  • Cook bacon in a large skillet until browned and crisp.
  • Remove from pan using a slotted spoon.
  • Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their liquid and it cooks off, about 7-8 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic to the pan and cook, stirring constantly until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add wine to the skillet to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits in the bottom of the pan.
  • Add cream, salt, pepper and half the parsley to the pan. Bring sauce to a simmer, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the pan and stir until the cheese melts into the sauce.
  • Return the reserved cooked bacon to the pan and heat through.
  • Serve over grilled steaks, grilled chicken or toss with cooked pasta.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley to serve.
