Walnut Fig Baked Brie

  • Round oven safe casserole dish

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz wheel of Brie cheese
  • 4 tbsp Fig butter
  • ½ cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1 baguette French bread, sliced
  • assorted crackers

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Using a sharp knife, slice off the top of the rind of a wheel of Brie cheese. Placing the wheel of cheese in the freezer for 20 minutes prior to slicing it, makes it easier to remove the rind.
  • Place the wheel of cheese in an oven safe casserole dish.
  • Top the cheese with a layer of fig butter.
  • Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  • Cover dish and bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted, hot and bubbly.
  • Serve with slices of bread or your favorite crackers.
