Chili Con Queso, An Easy To Make Perennial Game Day Favorite

Lets face it, you can’t have a proper super bowl party with out serving up a piping hot platter of cheesy Queso and loads of tortilla chips to scoop up all that melty, cheesy goodness! And beer, don’t forget the beer. This appetizer is the perfect paring with an ice cold brewski. They go together like bread and butter, bacon and eggs, peanut butter and chocolate. The flavor combination is perfection!

The best thing about this recipe is how ridiculously easy it is to make. It only takes about 5 minutes to stir everything together and then all that’s left to do is pop it in the oven to bake until the cheese is all hot, and melty, and gooey, and cheesy, and delicious! Yes it’s that easy!!!

Time to dig in!!!

Granted, this does not even come close to qualifying as health food!!! But sometimes a guilty pleasure is called for and game day is one of those occasions, right?

Using canned chili, nacho cheese sauce and slices of pickled Jalapeños makes it a snap to whip up this tasty appetizer. That gives you more time to relax with your friends and focus on the game. No one wants to be stuck in the kitchen preparing food when the game is on or miss out on all the fun.

Canned chili and canned cheese sauce make it a snap to make this hot dip.

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F.

Place chili, nacho cheese sauce and sriracha in a large mixing bowl. Stir well to combine.

Adjust the amount of hot sauce depending on how spicy you like it.

Transfer chili/cheese mixture to an oven safe casserole dish and top it with an even layer of shredded Cheddar and Jack cheeses.

Top with slices of Jalapeño peppers.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

Turn oven to broil setting and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese starts to bubble and browns lightly.

YUM! Melty cheese PERFECTION!

Top with sour cream if desired and serve with loads of tortilla chips for scooping up this delectably tasty hot dip.

Time too dig in! This appetizer will disappear fast! Chili Con Queso seems to have some sort of mystical powers. No one can resist its hot, cheesy, goodness when it’s set right in front of them. I dare you to try and resist it’s magical powers…LOL!
