How To Make The Viral Chopped Italian Hoagies:

Prepare rolls:

Cut Hoagie rolls in half horizontally and add half the slices of Provolone cheese onto the cut sides of the rolls. Place rolls in the oven and “broil” until the cheese is melted and rolls are toasted a golden brown along the edges. Remove toasted rolls from the oven. Set aside and keep them warm while you prepare the filling.

Prepare filling:

Place shredded lettuce on a large cutting board.

Top lettuce with the sliced red onions, tomato slices, and pepperoncini peppers.

Add salami slices, pepperoni slices, sliced smoked deli ham, and the remaining sliced Provolone cheese to the pile.

Using a large sharp knife, roughly chop all the ingredients into bite sized pieces.

Add the mayonnaise, mustard, red wine vinegar, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Continue to chop all the ingredients together until everything is well combined.

Taste and adjust to suit your own tastes. If you like it creamier, add a little more mayo. Want a little more tang? Add more red wine vinegar, mustard and pepperoncini peppers. This sandwich is endlessly customizable, so make it the way you want.

Assemble sandwiches:

Divide the chopped filling evenly between the bottom halves of the toasted rolls.

Top with the other toasted halves of the rolls.

Serve sandwiches with a side of potato chips, pickles or extra pepperoncini peppers.
