We all have a go to spaghetti recipe. It’s because it’s such a tasty, easy to prepare meal that almost everyone loves. So you may be asking…what makes this recipe so special? Why should you ditch your favorite spaghetti recipe and give this one a try? Because it’s one of the creamiest tomato based sauces you will ever try and ironically there’s not a lick of cream in it. So where does all the luscious creaminess come from? Keep reading to find out!
Years ago my girlfriend Christina invited us over for a spaghetti dinner and she served up this delicious version that immediately became part of my regular rotation of dinners. It’s creamy and decadent and oh so easy to prepare. Everyone who tries it, loves it!
To start you will want to brown a pound of ground beef in a large saucepan, breaking the meat into small pieces.
Once the meat is fully cooked, drain off excess fat.
Stir in the remaining ingredients except for the spaghetti noodles & cheese.
Turn heat to high and bring the sauce to a boil.
While the sauce is heating up, break spaghetti noodles into thirds.
When the sauce comes to a boil add the broken spaghetti noodles.
Stir to combine.
Cover the pot and reduce heat to low setting. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often.
When pasta is tender remove from heat and add the creaminess factor, the secret ingredient…the shredded cheddar cheese.
Stir until the cheese is completely melted.
Serve immediately with a crisp green salad and garlic bread to round out the meal.
Not only will you love this spaghetti but your kids will adore it! No begging them to eat their dinner, they will be scraping their plates clean asking for more.
