Calling all wine lovers! Do you enjoy a good glass of wine? Do you enjoy crafting? Well…this post is for you!
Do you have extra corks laying around? Wondering what to do with them? How about turning them into cute ornaments that you can hang on your Christmas tree? Or use as an embellishment when wrapping gifts for your favorite wine lovers?
If you are looking for a quick and easy Christmas ornament craft project then you have definitely come to the right place. During the busy holiday season a fun craft project that takes less than 5 minutes to put together is always welcome. Not only is this a quick project but it will only set you back a few pennies to make them. Add, recycling something that would normally end up in the trash, and it’s what I call a winning craft project all around!
Do you have extra wine corks and some twine laying around? Then you have almost everything you need for this quick and easy project.
Add eye hooks and you are all set to go. I used these hooks that I picked up from Lowe’s, but you can find them at just about any hardware store.
Supplies:
- wine corks
- twine
- eye hooks, 13/16 inch
- scissors
Twist a hook into the center of each cork on one end.
It will only take a few turns to secure the hook into the cork.
Thread a length of twine through the eye of each hook and tie a knot at the ends of the twine to form a loop.
That’s all there is to it! No special skills required.
In just a few short minutes you’ve created an adorable ornament to hang on your Christmas tree.
So how many are you going to make? Confession, I ran out of hooks and twine long before I ran out of corks…LOL!
