DIY: How To Make A Lavender & Tea Tree Foot Soak

Today I have something really special to share with you! Wouldn’t it be fantastic if we could afford to make a trip to a spa every week? Someday when I’m rich and famous…LOL! There are days when my tired aching feet could use a little love but my pocket book forces me to look for less expensive alternatives to a pricey spa visit. The good news is you don’t have to spend a small fortune to pamper yourself! All that’s needed to make this decadent foot soak are a couple of common household items from your pantry, a few drops of essential oils and a handful of dried lavender flowers.

Tea tree oil is valued as a natural remedy for treating bacterial and fungal skin conditions, preventing infection, and it promotes healing. It is often used as an antiseptic to treat minor cuts and burns. It boosts wound healing, fights acne, helps get rid of toenail fungus and it’s effective in treating athletes foot, which makes it perfect for your tootsies.

It’s been shown to kill several common bacteria, viruses and germs responsible for causing colds, the flu, and other illness. Tea tree oil has also been shown to repel insects and it’s just as effective as chemical insect repellents. Tea tree oil is pretty darn amazing! Pair it with the calming properties of lavender oil and you have a soothing, healing treatment for you feet.
