These wings are so easy to make you can whip them up anytime a craving for some crispy wings hits you. It only takes a few ingredients to whip up a batch.

The baking powder is the secret to getting a crispy wing in the oven.

Drums vs Flats-which is your favorite? I personally prefer flats but there has never been a drumette that I declined to wolf down…LOL.

Start by preheating your oven to 250°F.

Line a cookie sheet with foil and place a baking rack on top. Set aside while you prep the wings.

Using a paper towel, dry off wings. Set aside. This step is important for getting a nice crispy skin, so blot off as much of the moisture as you can.

In a large ziplock bag, combine baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder and salt.

Add the chicken wings to the bag.

Seal the bag and toss to coat the wings with the seasoned baking powder. The baking powder is the magic ingredient that produces a nice crispy skin.

Place the coated chicken wings on baking rack.

Bake wings at 250° for 30 minutes. Remove them from the oven and flip wings over.

Increase oven temperature to 425°F and return wings to the oven.

Bake wings for another 50-60 minutes, or until cooked through.

These look so yummy and they haven’t even been sauced yet.

Melt butter and stir together with an equal amount of hot sauce.

Place baked chicken wings into a large bowl.

Pour hot sauce mixture over wings and toss to coat them evenly with the sauce.

Serve wings immediately with either Ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Oh my goodness, not only are these extremely easy to make, but they were sooooo good!

NOTE TO SELF: Make a double batch next time!!!

Crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside…perfection!
