If you have a well stocked spice drawer you most likely have everything on hand to make this delectably , rich and creamy spread. Not only is it better for you, it comes together in just a few minutes and tastes even better than the store bought kind. Go get some cream cheese and butter out of the fridge to soften up and let’s make us some delicious herbed cheese spread!
Jump to RecipeThis easy to make cheese spread comes together quickly using dried herbs and minced garlic and tastes just like the store bought brand, only better and it has a much creamier, smoother texture.
Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a mixer.
Whip together on high speed using the whisk attachment until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Taste and season with additional salt if needed.
Transfer spread to a dish and refrigerate for 2 hours to allow flavors to combine.
Serve cheese spread chilled with crackers, or bread and your favorite veggies for scooping.
I love, love, love how easy and affordable this is to make. It costs just a fraction of what the brand name stuff will cost you, and it’s chock full of good for you flavorful herbs and garlic. This cheese spread will be making an appearance on many future charcuterie boards, it’s absolutely delicious and after one taste I know it will be the first thing devoured!

Creamy Herbed Boursin Cheese Spread
Equipment
- mixer with whisk attachment
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp salted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp dried chives
- ½ tsp dried parsley
- ¼ tsp dried tarragon
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- crackers
- veggies; sliced bell pepper, snap peas, baby carrots, or celery sticks
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in the bowl of a mixer.
