Simple DIY – Repurpose Wine Corks Into Garden Plant Markers

Are you a wine drinker? Have you been saving corks over the years like me but don’t have clue about what to do with all of them? Today I’m sharing this easy, inexpensive craft project. It’s a fantastic way to use some of those corks. Not only is this an easy-peasy garden DIY that literally anyone can do, it’s also a really practical project you can complete in just a few short minutes. Gotta love that!

Start by gathering up a few of those corks.

Supplies:

  • Wine corks
  • Skewers
  • Glue
  • Sharpie Marker

Next, use a sharpie to write out the name of the plants in your garden along the side of the cork.

Place a dab of glue onto the end of a bamboo skewer. Poke the pointy end of the skewer into the end of the cork. Allow glue to dry.

Pop plant markers into the soil.

Not only are these markers more adorable than the ugly plastic markers that come with most plants, but they make it easy to identify what you have growing in your garden.
