The Best Bacon & Cheese Juicy Lucy Stuffed Burgers

The days are getting shorter and early mornings and evenings call for a sweater to ward off the chill. You can tell that fall is definitely in the air, but maybe you’re like me and not quite ready to say goodbye to all things summer. Hello boots, sweaters and scarves…woo-hoo! I may be ready for fall weather but I’m not quite ready to say good bye to grilled burgers. Before it’s time to pack away the grill for the summer let’s crank it up one last time to cook up these fabulous burgers!

Is it a slider when the goodies start to slide off? ☺️

These burgers are so easy to make and worth the extra 5 minutes it takes to prep them for the grill. Start by dividing one pound of ground beef into 6 equal sized portions.

Flatten each piece of beef into ¼ inch thick patties.

Top beef patty with a slice of American cheese, folding in the corners of the cheese slice, leaving about ½ inch of beef exposed all along the edges.

Top the cheese slice with a teaspoon of bacon jam. Yes bacon jam!!! I salute the individual that invented bacon jam!!! Oh be-still my bacon beating heart!!!

Top with another flattened beef patty.

Use your fingers to pinch the edges together sealing in the cheese and bacon jam.

Preheat barbecue grill to 350 – 375 degrees.

Once the grill is hot place each burger on the preheated grill.

Close lid and cook for 5 – 6 minutes.

🚫 Resist the urge to press down on the burgers with a spatula. All the filling will goosh out!

Carefully flip burgers and top with a slice of cheese. Or two slices if you love cheese.

Use your favorite cheese.

Close the lid of the grill and cook burgers for another 5 – 6 minutes and cheese is melted.

Place hamburger buns on the grill, cut sides down. Grill until lightly toasted

Place burger patties on toasted hamburger buns.

Top burger patties with lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard and ketchup to serve. You can add a couple slices of cooked bacon too ☺️

Honestly, one can never have enough bacon, right?

Excuse me while I try to open my mouth wide enough to get a good bite of that burger…LOL!!! Juicy Lucy burgers are such a fabulous idea! You get a burst of flavor with very juicy bite!

Try these Best Darn Cheddar Jalapeño Stuffed Burgers Ever for a different flavor profile. Same idea but with a cheesy jalapeño filling. They pack a cheesy, gooey heat on the inside, so yummy!!!

Whichever Juicy Lucy burger you decide to try, I promise you will be pleasantly surprised not only how easy they are to make, but by how absolutely delicious they are! The extra 5 minutes it takes to make the patties is well worth the extra few minutes and effort!!!
