Place 1 lb. frozen meatballs (no need to thaw them) and a jar of your favorite marinara sauce in a saucepan and stir to coat meatballs with the marinara sauce.

Place a lid on the pan and cook on low for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until meatballs and sauce are heated through. Remove from heat and keep warm.

While the meatballs and sauce are heating up on the stove, prepare the rolls.

Use fresh bread for the best sandwiches.

Using a serrated knife cut loaves of bread in half horizontally. Use your fingers and pull out bread from the center of each half creating a well that will hold the meatballs.

Make little boats.

Place sliced Mozzarella cheese on each hollowed out half.

Lining the bread with cheese prevents these sandwiches from getting soggy.

Place in the oven and broil on high until cheese is melted and the edges are toasted a lovely golden brown. Be sure to keep a close eye on these as they broil, they can go from a lovely toasted golden brown to burnt, in the blink of an eye.

Golden toasty perfection!

Cut meatballs in half. This is optional, but it makes it easier to eat these sandwiches and ensures you get a yummy bite of meatball goodness in every delectable mouthful.

Divide meatball pieces evenly among the toasted hoagie rolls. They nestle beautifully right into those melted cheese lined loaves of bread.

Spoon marinara sauce over each meatball stuffed hoagie roll.

Top each sandwich with some freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning.

Serve with loads of napkins. Messy to eat but oh so good!

Round out the meal with a fresh homemade Caesar Salad. Check out my favorite recipe to make your own homemade Caesar salad dressing that blows all those bottled dressings out of the water! Not only is it delicious but it comes together in just a few quick minutes. You know exactly what’s in it, no preservatives or chemical additives, and it pairs beautifully with these meatball sandwiches for a truly simple but outstanding meal.

Yum, yum, yummy, yum, yum! So very, very easy to make and so very, very delicious to eat!
