Who doesn’t love a good burger? When you add a second beef patty and a second slice of cheese, there’s even more to love! Everyone should have a quick and easy, go to recipe to quickly whip up a juicy burger at home. Try this easy method to keep those beef patties nice and juicy, just the way everybody likes them. Because there’s nothing worse than a dry as sawdust, tasteless burger!
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a mixing bowl combine beef broth with 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1/2 tsp pepper. Set aside.
In another mixing bowl combine the ground beef with 1 tbsp mustard, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper.
Once combined, divide meat into six equal sized portions.
Place a portion of meat in between plastic wrap and using a rolling pin, roll out the beef to form a thin patty slightly larger than the size of the hamburger bun. The patty will shrink a little as you cook it. Rolling the patty out larger than the bun ensures that once you cook it, you still get some beefy goodness in every single bite.
Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat.
Place buns, cut sides down on the griddle and toast them until golden brown. Remove toasted buns and set aside.
Fry beef patties until cooked to your desired doneness. Because patties are quite thin, it only takes a couple minutes per side to cook them up.
Place cooked patties in the beef broth mixture while you finish frying the remaining meat patties.
Once all the patties are cooked, place a beef patty on a cookie sheet, top with a slice of cheese, top with a second beef patty and a second slice of cheese. Repeat with the remaining beef patties and cheese.
Place in the oven and heat until cheese is melted, about 3-5 minutes.
Assemble burgers and spread buns with mustard and ketchup.
Serve with your favorite burger condiments; lettuce, tomato, pickle slices and red onion if desired. Make it a bacon double cheeseburger and add a couple slices of bacon to each burger! Bacon would be a fabulous addition to this burger!!!
A big shout out to You Tuber Cooking with Aisha for this easy marinading method that keeps those beef patties moist while you are frying them all up. These burgers are not only easy to make, they taste better than any fast food burger you can pick up at the drive through, well…ok…it’s hard to compete with In & Out, but these made at home burgers come in a very close second!!!
So file this recipe away and be sure to pull it out the next time you get a craving for a made at home, juicy delicious cheeseburger.
