Crispy, Delicious Air Fried Brussels Sprouts With Bang-Bang Sauce

Are you a fan of Brussels sprouts like I am? Not only are they delicious but they are oh so very healthy too! Even if you don’t like Brussels sprouts, I’m talking to you Robin, you will love these. My brother-in-law, Robin, is not a fan of Brussels sprouts. I seriously believe if he would just give these a try, I could convert him into a Brussels sprout loving fan like I am. The zesty Bang-Bang sauce makes these tasty little morsels absolutely delicious and you will have trouble not eating them all by yourself. They’re seriously that good!!!

Cooking these in an air fryer produces a tender center with a crispy outer layer. The air fryer cooks them in just a few short minutes so you can easily enjoy them anytime. I serve them as a vegetable side with a meal but they are also a delicious appetizer. However you serve them, they will be a big hit!

Start by washing Brussels sprouts under cold water.

Trim off the tough ends from each sprout and remove any tough outer leaves.

Cut each sprout in half.

Pat sprouts dry using paper towels.

Toss the prepared sprouts in olive oil and season them with garlic powder, salt and pepper until well coated.

Preheat air fryer to 400° degrees. Spread the prepared sprouts out in a single layer on a rack or on an air fryer basket. Cook sprouts for 8 minutes. Flip the sprouts and continue to cook them for another 6-8 minutes, or until they are fork tender on the inside and crisp and lightly toasted on the outside.

TIP: Each air fryer cooks a little differently. Once you flip them keep an eye on them so they don’t burn. It took 8 minutes on each side to get mine cooked just right. You may need to adjust the cook time up or down a couple minutes to get your sprouts cooked just right. You want them tender but not mushy on the inside, and crisp but not burnt on the outside.

While the sprouts are cooking, make the Bang-Bang sauce.

In a small bowl, combine the mayo, chili sauce, hot sauce, vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.

When the sprouts are finished cooking, toss them in half the sauce to coat them completely.

Serve sprouts hot with the remaining extra sauce on the side for dipping.

Seriously…these sprouts are the BOMB!!! Hands down this has become my favorite way to serve Brussels sprouts. A HUGE shout out to Lisa at jerseygirlcooks.com for the inspiration for this absolutely awesome recipe! When a veggie side dish becomes the star of the meal you know you’ve landed upon a winning recipe. Be sure to give this recipe a try, I promise you will be licking your plate and serving yourself seconds, the sauce is really that good!!!
