Preheat oven to 350℉.

Slice a loaf of French bread in half, lengthwise.

Melt butter and combine with minced garlic cloves and garlic powder.

Brush garlic butter mixture onto both halves of the French bread loaf.

In a small bowl combine mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, dried parsley flakes and shedded Asiago cheese.

Stir until you have a thick paste. Add more mayonnaise if needed.

Spread mayo/cheese paste mixture onto buttered French bread halves in an even layer.

Bake for 15 minutes in preheated oven. Switch oven temperature to “broil” and toast until golden brown along the edges of the bread.

Remove bread from the oven and slice with a sharp knife. Serve while still warm.

Don’t let the addition of mayonnaise stop you from trying this bread! You don’t taste it at all and it adds a richness that you won’t get without it. Promise me you’ll give this recipe a try. You won’t be disappointed you did. It has become one of my all time favorite cheese breads to serve alongside dinner. Once you give it a try I’m betting it will become a favorite with your family too!
