What to do with all of this goodness from the garden? Make this delicious Italian salsa! Yes I know, salsa is typically made with Cilantro and onions and jalapeños, but I decided to give my garden bounty an Italian twist.
Chop fresh tomatoes into bite sized pieces. If you are using cherry or grape tomatoes, cut them in half.
Chop fresh basil into thin strips. Stack leaves and roll them; slice into long thin strips.
In a large bowl combine tomatoes and chopped basil. Add a generous grind of freshly ground pepper, a pinch of salt and a splash of balsamic vinegar. Stir to combine.
Look at how beautiful and colorful this Italian salsa is! Is it making your mouth water too?
When the temperatures hit the triple digits don’t turn on the oven or stove, assemble and serve a Charcuterie board for a light summertime evening meal.
Prepare this easy to make Italian salsa and serve it with freshly baked French bread and your favorite cheeses. It will easily become the star of the meal.
