Oven Roasted Ranch Potatoes, A Versatile, Easy & Delicious Side

This easy to make, three ingredient side dish is amazingly tasty! How can only three simple ingredients taste so good? Sometimes classic, simple recipes that have withstood the test of time truly are the best. This simple recipe from the side of a box of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning is one of those timeless classics.

Top these seasoned oven roasted potatoes with creamy sour cream and some sliced scallions and you have a side dish that pairs beautifully with just about any meal. The oven does all the work for you, giving you plenty of time to focus on preparing the rest of your meal.

Sometimes the simplest recipes are the tastiest!

Begin by preheating your oven to 450°F.

Gather together all the ingredients.

Peel potatoes and cut them into 1 inch pieces.

Place potato chunks in a large ziplock bag.

Filling the bag is easy when you place the bag in a bowl to hold it open.

Add ¼ cup olive oil to the bag.

Add 2 teaspoons powdered Ranch seasoning.

Seal the bag and toss to coat the potatoes with the oil and seasoning.

Spread the seasoned potatoes on a foil lines cookie sheet in a single layer.

Bake potato pieces in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until potatoes are soft when pierced with a fork and a lovely golden brown.

Serve roasted potatoes topped with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of green onions.

Ingredients
  

  • 3-5 medium potatoes, cut into 1 inch chunks
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 4 tsp Ranch seasoning
  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 green onion, sliced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 450°F.

  • Add ¼ cup olive oil and 4 teaspoons Ranch seasoning.
  • Seal bag and toss to coat potatoes with the oil and seasoning.
  • Spread potatoes out in a single layer on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until potatoes are soft and lightly browned.
  • Serve topped with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of green onions.
