Simple Christmas Decor DIY

Do you love entertaining during the holidays but dread the stress that invariably goes along with it? Planning a menu and cleaning the house are stressful enough. Instead of adding more stress with all the little details, today I want to share an easy napkin ring DIY that will add a festive holiday touch to your table and make your guests feel special without a lot of fuss.

Something as simple as adding a cloth napkin with a pretty napkin ring to each place setting will instantly elevate the table and give it a beautiful holiday vibe. This easy DIY will take your table from ho-hum to holiday festive and ready for company in no time flat.

Supplies you will need:

  • Cardboard paper towel tubes or toilet paper roll tubes
  • Twine
  • 1 1/2 to 2 inch wide ribbon
  • Small pinecones
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Scissors
I had a few feet of leftover ribbon that wasn’t enough for a bow but more than enough to make 6 napkin rings.

Cut tubes so that they are as wide as your ribbon.

Cut ribbon into lengths that are long enough to wrap around the cardboard tubes. Cut them a little on the long side so you can fold the ends over so you won’t see the cut frayed ends of the ribbon.

Attach ribbon with a dab of glue, folding ends under to hide frayed ends.

I love the rustic looking edges on this ribbon.

Attach a small pinecone with a dab of hot glue. I placed the pinecone over the seam to hide it.

Add a small twine bow with another dab of glue.

See, I told you this was easy! Just a few minutes of time and you can easily make these darling napkin rings.

It’s the small, simple little details like these that will take your table from ho-hum to holiday festive.
