The Best Grilled Chicken

The hubs detests chicken and would be absolutely, utterly happy for the rest of his days if a steak appeared on his plate every evening for dinner, or fish, he really likes fish too. I’d never hear any complaints if chicken never graced our table again. However, when chicken goes on sale, we’re going to have chicken all week instead of beef or fish. Plus, I happen to really like chicken, so I’ve had to get really good at cooking up chicken that’s not dry and tasteless. It’s got to be juicy, tender and packed with flavor, so the resident chicken hater can choke it down. This easy stove top method is one of the best and easiest methods I have tried to date that produces consistently juicy, tasty, meat you can use in all your recipes that call for cooked chicken. Even chicken haters will grudgingly agree that this is some mighty tasty chicken.

Yes, chicken breasts can be juicy and flavorful.

How To Make The Juiciest Most Flavorful Chicken Breasts:

Start by gathering the spices together. Use salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and your favorite BBQ seasoning blend or poultry seasoning. Add a dash of cayenne if you like a little heat. Experiment with the spices you use. Try using cumin and taco seasoning for a Mexican flavor profile. Oregano, basil and lemon pepper would make a delicious Greek flavor profile.

Season chicken breasts liberally on both sides with salt, pepper, BBQ seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet.

Once oil is hot place chicken beasts in the pan and cook for 5 minutes.

In a small bowl combine water and chicken bouillon.

Flip chicken over and add the cup of chicken bouillon water to the skillet.

Cover the skillet with a lid and cook chicken for another 5 minutes.

Turn off heat and allow chicken breasts to steam in the pan for 15 minutes. Don’t remove the lid during this time, just let it sit while you prepare the rest of your meal.

After 15 minutes, remove chicken breasts from the skillet and allow them to rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Just look at that lovely char!

Slice, dice, or roughly chop and use in all your favorite recipes that call for cooked chicken meat.

Not only does this method produce the juiciest breasts you have ever enjoyed, but this method is as easy as pie to execute as well! It’s actually a lot easier than making a pie…LOL. Even if you don’t feel like you are very proficient in the kitchen, you can easily cook up these tasty chicken breasts. Because of chickens versatility, this is a great basic ingredient to master as you learn to cook. It can be added to your favorite Fettuccine Alfredo or added to a crisp Caesar Salad to transform it from a simple side salad into a meal.

Change up the seasonings and use this same cooking method to make these Copycat Chipotle Chicken Burrito Bowls.

Or use these grilled chicken breasts to serve up this flavor packed Chicken Caprese Salad. This is one of my personal favorite summertime salads that’s packed with freshly harvested greens, and sweet sun ripened tomatoes. Easy to make, oh so tasty, and oh so good for you too!

Or swap out the crispy breaded chicken tenders for these grilled breasts instead to make Cindy’s Big Butt Chicken Sandwiches. These easy to make sandwiches are always a huge family favorite around here! There’s never any complaints when they make an appearance at the table.

No matter what you decide to use these juicy chicken breasts for, you are going to love their flavor packed goodness. Give this easy method a try. I bet you won’t go back to cooking chicken breasts any other way ever again.
