My friend Christina says she’s not much of a cook, but I strongly disagree! This is the third phenomenal recipe she has shared with me. I make her saucepan spaghetti recipe all the time. It’s a cheesy, tasty, one pan dinner that my whole family enjoys. It’s become one of my go to family favorites.
And her Cream Cheese Fried Wontons? They are to die for!
I have to confess, I ate way to much of her hummus when we were there for dinner the other night. I took one taste and I couldn’t stop eating it. It was just that good!!!
When she told me how easy it was to make I knew I would be making this often! It’s extremely healthy especially if you serve it with veggies for dipping.
Skip the store bought hummus made with unpronounceable chemical ingredients and additives. When you see how simple it is to make this hummus with just five wholesome ingredients you can whip up a batch or two or three of this creamy homemade hummus anytime!
Start to finish, it took me all of 10 minutes to whip up a batch of this heavenly hummus!
Not only is it tastier than any of the store bought stuff, it’s a healthy snack that you can enjoy anytime, guilt free!
Start by draining can(s) of garbanzo beans.
Process garbanzo beans, garlic, tahini, salt and lemon juice together in a food processor until smooth.
Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for best flavor.
Add warm water to thin, if needed.
To serve, spread hummus in a shallow dish.
Drizzle with olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika.
Serve with pita bread, pita chips, or an assortment of fresh veggies like carrots, cucumber, celery, sugar snap peas or crunchy jicama as dippers.
I’m ready to dive in!!!
