Not 1, Not 2, But 3 Cheeses In This Phenomenal Baked Mac & Cheese

Oh my goodness!!! Most Mac & Cheese recipes call for just one cheese. This casserole has three cheeses! The addition of cream cheese adds a wonderful creaminess, the cheddar provides the traditional cheese flavor we all love and the Parmesan cheese creates a crunchy topping as it bakes in the oven and gives every bite a delightful toasted nutty flavor.

Doesn’t it make your mouth water?

Start by cooking the elbow macaroni. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Spray a 13X9 inch casserole dish with non-stick spray. Set aside.

While macaroni is cooking, heat milk over medium heat in another saucepan. Add the cream cheese to the milk and stir to combine.

Continue to cook over low heat until cream cheese has completely melted.

Grate 4 cups of cheddar cheese.

Add cheddar cheese to milk/cream cheese mixture and cook until cheddar cheese has completely melted.

Add salt, pepper and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine.

Add cheese sauce to the cooked macaroni.

Stir to combine.

Spread macaroni and cheese in prepared casserole dish.

In a small bowl, combine grated Parmesan cheese with seasoned breadcrumbs. Sprinkle evenly over the pasta in the casserole dish.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until hot and breadcrumb/Parmesan cheese topping is lightly toasted.

Oh my goodness…this Mac & Cheese is so addictive! This is my son’s absolute favorite Mac & Cheese!
