You Can’t Eat Just One. Dangerously Delicious, Jalapeño Bottle Caps

Every so often you stumble upon a recipe and you wonder how you made it through your life up to that point without it. WARNING!!!! This is an incredible, dangerously delicious treat!!! One bite and we were hooked.

We devoured way more than we will ever admit to. Yes, shameless, I know! LOL!

We cooked up jalapeños as well as baby red, orange and yellow bell peppers.

When you have a plethora of Jalapeño peppers from your garden, there are so many wonderful recipes to use them in. One of our absolute favorites are these Best Darn Cheddar Jalapeño Stuffed Burgers. You MUST give these burgers a try! They are out of this world FABULOUS!!! They’ve been making an appearance on the dinner table every week all summer long. We just can’t seem to get enough of them!

Another fabulous way to use up Jalapeño peppers from your garden is to make these, out of this world delicious, Jalapeño Poppers. Trust me on this…double the recipe! You won’t be able to stop after just one or two of these creamy and delicious flavor packed little bites of tasty goodness.

Seriously delicious! Utterly irresistible!

These bottle caps are just as addictive and just as delicious and they come together in just a few short minutes. With just a few minutes of effort, you end up with some of the tastiest, crispy little morsels of goodness you will ever eat! They are deceptively addictive!

Let’s get these little lovelies going! Start by heating about an inch of vegetable oil in a deep saucepan over medium high heat.

While the oil is heating up, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.

Add the beer to the dry ingredients. Stir until smooth and there are no lumps in the batter. Add more beer if needed, until you have a batter the consistency of pancake batter.

Slice peppers into ½ rounds. Discard stem ends.

I also used baby yellow, orange and red bell peppers.

Drop jalapeño slices in the batter and toss to coat them completely.

Flavor Variation: Baby orange, yellow and red bell peppers provide a slightly sweeter flavor profile with less heat. Equally delicious! We loved them ALL!!!

When oil is hot, drop a few pepper slices into the oil and fry them until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes. Fry them in small batches; do not crowd them in the pan. Turn them over while frying to ensure they brown evenly on both sides.

Remove fried bottle caps from the oil when golden brown and drain on a paper towel lined plate.

Serve bottle caps while still hot with a side of creamy sour cream or with some cool Ranch dressing for dipping.

These little puppies need to get in my mouth…NOW!!!!! A must try recipe for sure! Whether you decide to use Jalapeños or sweet bell peppers, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. These little suckers are oh so good!!!
