The Best Darn Cheddar Jalapeño Stuffed Burger Ever!

Sometimes the only thing that will satisfy your burger craving is a juicy, flame grilled burger so thick you can barely open your mouth wide enough to get a big bite of all it’s wonderful burger goodness.

This Juicy Lucy jalapeño, cheddar cheese stuffed burger sure does fit the bill! Where’s the cheese you ask? It’s on the inside!

These burgers are juicy and flavorful, and packed with gooey, stretchy, melty cheese, with just a touch of heat from the jalapeño pepper. Not too spicy at all! This burger far surpasses any $20 gourmet burgers you get at restaurants. And best of all? They cost significantly less when you cook them at home. You could easily make half a dozen burgers for $20, plus they are a snap to make!

Keep reading to see how easy it is to whip these bad boys up in no time!

Start by preheating the barbecue grill.

While the grill gets good and hot you have plenty of time to assemble the burger patties.

In a small bowl, combine, softened cream cheese and diced jalapeño.

Remove the seeds if you don’t want to much heat.

Add grated cheddar cheese, and garlic powder and stir to make a thick cheese paste.

Divide mixture into 3 equal sized portions. Use your hands to roll filling into balls and then flatten each ball into patties. Set aside while you make the beef patties.

In a mixing bowl, use your hands to combine ground beef, minced onion, salt and pepper.

Separate meat into 6 equal sized portions and flatten out each piece of beef into thin patties slightly larger in diameter than the cheese filling patties.

Place a cheese filling patty in the center of a beef patty, and top with another beef patty.

Use your fingers to pinch together the edges enclosing the cheese filling and forming evenly shaped burger patties.

You can’t even tell that there is a cheesy filling inside.

Baste the patties with olive oil.

TIP: spread a little olive oil on the hamburger buns too and place them on the grill while the patties are cooking. Grill for a minute or two until toasted with lovely grill marks.

Grill patties for 6-7 minutes on each side over medium high heat until cooked through.

Top grilled patties with your favorite burger toppings and condiments to serve. We love adding crisp lettuce, and juicy slices of tomato with a squeeze of mustard and ketchup. Nothing complicated. Keeping it simple allows you to taste and enjoy the juicy grilled beef patties to their fullest.
