The Best 4 Ingredient, Melt In Your Mouth, Barbecue Ribs

We love us some barbecued ribs! I always toss them in my shopping cart when they are on sale. You just can’t go wrong with ribs! Grilling them is always a great way to prepare them but what are you going to do when the weather isn’t cooperating? Ain’t nobody that enjoys standing out in the bad weather to grill them!

This recipe lets you cook them in the oven instead! So a little, or a lot, of rain, sleet or snow doesn’t have to stop you from enjoying these delicious, fall off the bone, tender barbecued ribs. You know what that means? It means you can make these ribs anytime you want!!!

Five minutes of effort will reward you with some of the most flavorfully sauced ribs you will ever eat!!! I love that there is hardly any clean up, unless you count tossing out foil as work; it takes only minutes to prepare them, the oven does all the hard work for you; and there are only four, that’s right, only four ingredients needed for this recipe.

I have to give a HUGE thank you and shout out to Marion and her mum at marionskitchen.com for this FABULOUS recipe!!! I stumbled upon her website while doing a search for oven baked ribs and while I was looking around I noticed she has some truly delectable looking recipes on her website. I have a feeling I will be trying more of her recipes in the future. She likes things spicy and flavorful, just like I do! I recommend you check it out when you have some time.

I’m using these meaty baby back pork ribs for this recipe today. They are a thing of beauty aren’t they? Look at how meaty they are!!! These are gonna be sooooo good!!!

Preheat your oven to 250°F and line a cookie sheet with foil.

Rinse ribs under cold water and dry them with a paper towel. Use a paring knife to cut a slit into the silver skin on the back of the rack of ribs to separate it from the ribs.

Why remove the silver skin? Taking the time to remove it will result in more tender ribs. Leaving the skin on is fine but they just won’t be as tender after cooking. I recommend taking the time to remove it for the best results. It’s very easy to do.

Slowly start to pull the skin away from the ribs.

The skin is slippery and can be hard to grab a hold of with wet hands. I found using a paper towel to grab onto the skin was helpful in easily pulling it all the way off the ribs.

Once the silver skin has been removed, use a sharp knife and cut the rack of ribs into individual pieces.

Season ribs with a generous amount of salt and pepper. Oh my…look at how meaty these ribs are! These are going to be soooooo good!

In a small bowl combine hoisin sauce, ketchup, and sriracha chili sauce.

Set aside ¼ cup of the sauce for later.

Place ribs in a large bowl and add barbecue sauce.

Toss ribs with sauce to coat them.

Lay out those saucy ribs on the foil lined cookie sheet in a single layer.

Cover the cookie sheet with foil and crimp foil along the edges of the pan to seal in the ribs.

Cook ribs low and slow for 2 hours. Remove ribs from the oven and increase oven temperature to 400°F.

Now would be the perfect time to pop some cornbread in the oven. Give this Crave Worthy Cornbread recipe a try. It bakes up at the same temperature as the ribs and pairs perfectly with these delectable ribs!

Remove foil and transfer the ribs to another foil lined cookie sheet in a single layer.

Brush the ribs liberally with the reserved sauce.

Return ribs to the oven, and bake them uncovered, for 5-10 minutes, or until the edges of the ribs begin to char.

Ribs are delicious served with a side of creamy macaroni salad. This recipe for Nancy’s Marvelous Macaroni Salad is the perfect creamy side to serve with these oven baked ribs. Toss it together in the morning to allow the flavors to combine and come together.

Oh and don’t forget a pile of napkins! You are going to need them!
